Is paying $300 worth it for the M2 pro chip? (alien.top)

Debating between the 13 inch MBA M2 8-core CPU, 10-core GPU & the 14 inch MBP M2pro 10-core GPU, 16-core GPU. Both with 16GB RAM & 512GB. Looking to buy for more long-term use as much as possible and want to use it for work in the future after graduating from college in 3 years. So is the $300 worth it to get the M2pro? Or is the M2air around the same as the M2pro?

The M2 Pro can also support more external displays if that is a deciding factor for you

Really depends on what you're going to be using it for and whether you need portability and battery life or performance and more premium features.

For $300 you not only get a more powerful CPU/GPU but also a higher quality display and more built-in ports (HDMI, SD card reader, extra USB-C). The 14" could have a longer useable lifespan due to having more processing power and active cooling but how much longer is hard to say.
