Could be real, people who have only read western comics might have no experience with manga

When I first got Dragon Ball in the early 2000 the β€˜back’ (regular front) would have instructions on how to read it correctly. I could definitely see this being true.

Given that about half of Amazon's "reviews" are basically "I didn't read anything and ordered the wrong thing. 1 star." I wouldn't expect it to be a joke.

I dunno, I've seen certain publishers of manga in English put big warning pages on the back (or what people might assume is the front) saying things like "Hey, you're starting on the wrong side!" Those warnings are there for a reason.

It's actually impressive that someone would order a manga and have no idea that it's read right to left

Not that hard, they just found a comic, they probably have no idea what a manga is.

You'd think getting a backwards book might make someone curious.

That's not all: they also flipped all the panels and the entire book too. Also the author's name is Takahashi or something, what a funny name!

Don't apologize. While you may not win a Pulitzer for that joke, it's a solid effort and you should be commended for it. Bravo!

1-star ratings are not funny though
