Well, you run emulators on it and play some Streets of Rage, my dude.

honestly, would rather use a linux ~ libreelec/es based device

android is just wasted overhead when it comes to emulation

This device actually dual boots Linux (and there’s a cheaper Linux-only variant)

Ooh sweet, that means that not only could you run some emulation dedicated distros, you could also run steamos

These are used mostly for playing retro games through emulators.

Probably. I don't own one of these but the Genesis controller layout is awkward for playing many Nintendo games.
