I recently saw this news on the technology community https://lemmy.world/post/44224445 and got very disappointed with the way things are going with this browser.

I started using it to do my part against the chromium monopoly, but Mozilla is making too many bad decisions in my opinion.

I've heard about forks like Librewolf and Waterfox.

Which alternatives would you recommend? Do you use any of them? What are your thoughts on them?

I've been using Floorp for the past 6 months. No complaints.

Kinda depends on your preference. A lot of people are proponents for librewolf, but it hasn’t been great for me in the past. Privacy is probably top notch, but I have zen browser a try and I’m not hating it. Could also be a move for you.

It all depends on your threat model. Overall, I don't recommend any browser based on the Mozilla engine; unfortunately, Chromium-based versions are way ahead when it comes to security. A good option for PC use is to isolate browsers using virtual machines, depending on the case
