All I know is that after Vanced, Brave lets me watch YouTube on my phone without ads.

When I try to set up revanced it tells me that it won't work because I've got a split YouTube apk. It's been super frustrating as vanced worked wonderfully for years.

Follow those instructions. I had issues as well before I realized it's best to download an Apk and patch before installing.

That worked! Thanks so much. Note to other users, you need to download an old apk which is still patchable

How do I get it? I recall Vanced was a little difficult as I'm not terribly savvy on anytime mobile.

Reminder that the CEO of Brave supports banning same-sex marriage in the US.

Whenever I see someone using Brave I immediately assume they are a crypto bro who gets shilled on get rich quick schemes.

Remember when they were caught rewriting urls to include their own affiliate links? That should tell you more then enough.

It's certainly not my primary browser but I do keep it around because its in-built ad blocker is just better than most other options available for iOS

I can't exactly take that wherever I go

Sure you can! You can route your dns over a vpn! Or if you're feeling dangerous, host your pihole publicly!

I guess I should have known that was a thing. But also in my research I've just discovered that my new router is supposed to have an in-built ad blocker, but my ISP doesn't support that function so that's pretty cool.

Will look into a pihole setup now, thanks.
