That's a weird way for a station to react.

Almost like they don't actually wanna talk about real problems.

I used to have this NYT lifestyle reporter in my Facebook and they were constantly posting hyper-specific quote requests. “If you are a bartender who has seen more business from upscale clientele since Covid ended and think this is because affluent people have less empathy, I’d like to interview you for an upcoming article!”

It’s fucking embarrassing how the News already knows exactly what they want to say before they even go to people, and they just want people to repeat their line like a good little drone and then go away. And most people will for the mere chance to have their face or name in the news.

She visibly flinches when he mentions private equity. Its like the news station has repeat training classes for employees on banned topics.

He gets every award out there. This is amazing.

    Private equity:

    • Rental buildings are bought by these companies and filled (or not) for Air BNB, luxury housing, etc. This leaves no affordable housing.
    • They price fix the shit out of these locations through rental software.
    • Prices rarely go down, and if they do, it's not much.
    • They push for a building frenzy so they can park their money and rent out the bottom floor. Doesn't matter if some homes are empty if the price doesn't go down and you're price fixing.
    • Won't let you work from home because it fucks with all of the above.
    • Only beholden to the people who are in the club, they can do what they want with no repercussions.

I love when they do this because it saves us the effort of determining legitimacy. It shows how they really feel. It removes the pomp and circumstance of pretending to be real news. But I’m done reiterating my point 3 times. We have the fake news our orange pedophile always wanted. His only success.

I don’t have any skin in this fight, and the dude is totally right…. But I’d bet a few bucks that the reporter was moving on from the voxpop because the two of them would have probably had a quick chat before the live cross to gauge his ability to be succinct and hold an opinion, and it could have started to go in a direction that may have thrown her. I would also take a guess that she probably felt that he was going to go waaaay of script and say something that could put the network in hot water. Fuck her in the pussy, Trump is a pedo. I like turtles…. There’s a bit of risk management for a live cross that she would have been mindful of.

    But then again… who knows?
