You know Harden's lost when he's turning his back on Daryl.

Can anyone post the relevant bit? I got halfway into the article before the paywall came up. Does it go into any depth about what Harden wants or how Morey mishandled things? Or is this just a tweet masquerading as an article.

Harden wants to go to clippers apparently and he had a quid pro quo with Morey last year to restructure his contract to be more team friendly in order to compete and he expected to get a lucrative contract this year, which I guess Morey isn’t doing.

Thank you. That makes a lot of sense. I forgot he took a team-friendly deal last year.

Why did he pick up his player option then? He could have gone to Houston for a max deal and no one could have stopped him.

I wonder if Houston actually was not willing to offer Harden a max contract. Not sure if it was an actual leak or just a rumor, but I'm pretty sure I heard something about Udoka discouraging the front office from giving Harden a deal. Harden opting in suggests the offers as a free agent we're not good.
