Jesus Christ. And for what? Undermining social stability and the entire economy by putting people out of a job? Who exactly is going to be buying the services provided if no one has an income?

So pointless. Nobody wants this.

So we have growth: we use more resources, the economy produces more stuff, consumers consume more, quality of life remains the same (or goes up), and GDP goes up.

And we have degrowth: we use less resources, produce less, consume less, consumers maintain and repair what we have, quality of life remains the same (or goes up) but GDP goes down.

And now with AI, we have a third category, which I don't know what to call except "cancerous growth": we use more resources but produce less stuff, because those resources are pissed away on building and running massive computer systems that provide no value to anyone.

God, I thought Bitcoin was bad, because Bitcoin farms waste massive amounts of technology and energy to move around cells in a big spreadsheet. LLMs are as useless as Bitcoin but consume several orders of magnitude more resources. And the same people who shilled for Bitcoin are shilling for data centers now.

It's like they're actively trying to kill the planet. And with Thiel as their guiding light I think they actually might be.

My country with 38 milion people population don't have even one nuclear reactor. :(
