Awwww, they only meant to strap him to the table and beat him up for fun, not kill him. How nice to offer manslaughter charges to a bunch of fucking murderers. /s

Prosecution has video evidence of the murder yet offers them a PLEA DEAL?!?! Just another story about cops not facing appropriate consequences for their actions. ACAB

You can tell this isn’t Louisiana by the fact that there are consequences.

They killed a man with their bare hands and tried to cover it up.

My assumption is that he wasn't compliant; that's usually what sets the pigs off on a murderous rage. Fragile men with a god complex shouldn't be anywhere near the justice system, but that's who wants the job because they can dominate people who can't do anything about it.

They beat him 3 seperate times on transfer to the prison. The hosptial room was the only recording of one of the beating, the one that killed him.

The special prosecutor stated that he had done nothing at all to provoke the murderers. That he was beaten all 3 times as a "welcome to Marcy prison" ritual. This was based on testimony from witnesses. They just beat him over and over again until he was dead because they wanted to.

Oh I completely agree that he didn't do anything (and in reality couldn't) to provoke being beaten, especially to death.

I just bet the piggies justified it to themselves that way.

Pardons and a job with ICE.

[-] deacon@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

Please, a mere job with ICE? There is at least one future right wing podcaster in that bunch, and who knows how many cryptocurrency launches.
