She's from Spokane, grew up in Idaho, lives in Florida, and set up a MAGA-themed birthday party for her mom. It's not like the signs weren't there.

Don't worship celebrities... Especially ones whose main selling point is their beauty not their skill.

Just leave it at "don't worship celebrities". Skill is no indication that they aren't a complete shithead either.

Yeah ... We have plenty of evidence of great skilled actors being pieces of shit. People need to end this parasocial relationship with celebrities. They are just people we pay to entertain us.

Well that’s it I’m no longer taking political advice from Sydney Sweeney.

I don't know why everyone always assumes women are progressive.

If the value of a woman is solely determined by the "rank" of men that want them, a lot of beautiful young women go for that system.

It's easy and they'd be at the current "top" and get what they want.

Authoritarians are so misogynistic that it only seems natural that someone who is paying attention would recognize the danger. One could say women are given the benefit of the doubt that they are smart and capable until a specific individual proves otherwise.

I am shocked that someone would be a Republican voter when there are literally millions of Americans that voted for Trump... shocked I say...

Why is it that 9 times out of 10 when people on the left blow up about something, it's actually much worse than previously thought.

No surprise; white women vote Republican nearly as much as white men.

"Although women as a whole have historically voted for Democrats, white women have not. Instead, over the last 72 years, a plurality of white women have voted for the Democratic candidate only twice, in 1964 and 1996."

Goddammit. Or rather, nice. That kind of takes the unobtainable crush edge off, a little bit. She is no longer that hot to me.

Them biddies didn't vote though. 😭

Regardless of what we think about the ad, why is the scrutiny on the model and not the brand or the marketing company?

Can someone explain this to me as a non-American: why do people register to vote as a particular party? I thought you'd just register to vote, then vote for a particular party at the election (and that ballot is secret, so nobody can say for sure who you voted for)?

Many states have closed primary elections prior to the general election. So three or four candidates from the same party are campaigning against each other for the right to be the candidate in the general election, and the only people that can vote in this preliminary election are registered party members.

Oh, she's MAGA? Good thing I don't watch anything she is in. Regardless of the size of her assets.

I vaguely remember about a year or two ago she posted a selfie from a family reunion in which many of her family members sported MAGA hats, which got a bunch of attention from the media. I guess this shouldn't be unexpected.

Just say it's a klan ad and move on like it isn't a big thing. Because at this point, unfortunately, it really isn't.

A good looking fascist is still gross. I hope her career ends and she goes wherever people like her go.
