I'm still unsure whether or not I'll give this game a shot. D6 was that much of a disappointment. And while the automation has been dialed back significantly, it's still there.

Instead of automating the grind like a mobile game, they could just make the grind more fun. Or you know, change nothing since the endgame grind is optional anyways. Automation however ruined the entire game in D6.

Oh, and the 3D models in D6 were a massive downgrade to D5 sprites. Worse performance and worse visuals, all for the grand benefit of doing nothing with the extra dimension. However, at least with the Kaiju feature they kind of use the models in D7.
