Bitdefender is not a Microsoft product
don't use Brave.
Yes its a decent piece of software made by some properly smart industry experts but I have zero faith in them on a personal trust level. The CEO (despite his amazing resume and past accomplishments) is an arsehole, a bigot, a crypto-scammer and a science denier.
Brave is a series scam company.
No, it's a false positive. Exclude it.
It's a known false positive. I can't speculate as to why it still hasn't been fixed but your suspicion might be correct. Who knows.
On another note how do you find BitDefender?
I switched to BD when the russian attacks on Ukraine started again, was using Kaspersky before, system runs like a dream. A friend was having difficulties with his pc, he was using nortons, I suggested he try BD. We cleaned his system, so much virus and malware, and he has had no slowdowns since. I recommend it, along with something that can still use ubo and privacy badger.
I just got a windows again and I put it on right away and some friend were telling me windows defender was good enough but I just don’t trust it.
Me either, trust is a hard thing with any of these companies, especially one that has proven it is untrustworthy. Source: Been using windows since it was an application masquerading as an operating system, read win 3.11. Almost done with em tho, almost
I use Linux, macOS and just added the windows back in for the first time in twenty years.
Headin back to linux (kubuntu this time) after about 12yrs, forgot sooooo much.
Bitdefender fails to include a libre software license text file. We do not control it, anti-libre software, very dangerous. I would fix this before your web browser or any other app.
