The brief shutdown was announced on Thursday but production is set to resume by Saturday

So the line was shut down for two days. Very misleading headline.

TL;DR:

Volvo has temporarily stopped production at its South Carolina plant, citing a parts shortage. The facility exclusively manufactures the EX90, Volvo’s flagship EV. The issue starting Thursday was resolved by Friday. The owner blames supply chain disruptions resulting from the uncertainty introduced by Trump's tariffs.

This is how it all begins, right? What it begins, I haven't a clue.

It isn't known what parts are short. Are they from China, EU, Mexico, ...?

Presumably some of the parts that should be long.
