the kebab place around the corner is really our smallest problem concerning tax evasion ;)
A lot of small problems make a huge problem. In Italy it's like that, I see it very clearly.
Ever asked for a receipt? I never take them and so do many people I know. Might be they just don't bother with them.
Not taking electronic payments is somewhat common for smaller places, especially if not part of a franchise, it's often not worth the cost for them. That is to say, none of this would lead me to suspect tax evasion, unless they actively refuse to give a receipt.
Have fun reporting 90% of the kebab places you go to ;)
