Cats, dogs, Grumman F6F Hellcats and hotdogs. Jokes aside, I like both equally! 😃❤️
I had cats all my life, and only in the last 6 or 7 years have I had dogs.
I like dogs more. Cats act like they are god; dogs act like you are god.
Cats, very much so, for most of my life. I've enjoyed dogs, but cats have been my heart. While I was working at a shelter one of the dogs that arrived to us from a southern transport was a quiet, shy, but very sweet German Shepherd. It was love at first sight, and she never hit the adoption floor.
We were nervous to bring her home, because we didn't know how she would react to the cats. It was seamless, and now she enjoys fussing over foster kittens when I have them. She's opened my heart to dogs in a way I didn't think was possible. We're thankful for Ferda every day.
I do still categorize myself as a cat person, though.
I mostly prefer cats because they are quiet and chill, tend to be cleaner in my experience.
I walk by the dark park in my neighborhood and daily someone's "harmless sweet dog" barks at me insanely loud every time I pass.
Nobody's cat is doing that to me 🤣
I'm aware that not all dogs are like that, when I'm in Europe for example I notice the bar for dog behavior is much higher and I am rarely barked at.
But on the other hand - most cats either mind their own business or are sweet to me. Rarely I'll have one scratch or bite me but in my opinion, I'm jumped on or barked at by dogs 10x more than I have bad experiences with cats.
Still love them both! But it just annoys me when people don't understand how annoying dogs can be.
