u/Dalimey (who appropriately identifies as "LAWFUL STUPID" shared a warning from reddit admins issuing their final warning against making the sub NSFW (despite the fact that the users of the sub are in full support). They promised to reply to it with "roll for persuasion or intimidation" if they got 10k upvotes, and here is the result. Outstanding move.

He sounds like a fucking nerd lol

You better give me a stealth check with disadvantage if you’re trying to sneak in here with that username.

Darn I was hoping I'd get a few more angry messages before someone noticed lol.

Not for long!

[–] [email protected] 40 points 1 year ago

Believe it or not out of all the class options nerd has the biggest stat bonuses and passives

[–] [email protected] 38 points 1 year ago

Fucking legend

[–] [email protected] 31 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Glad to see you! Didn't you say you were the only mod on /r/dndmemes? That must have been rough. Hopefully your stay here or wherever you end is goes well!

[–] [email protected] 56 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I'm not the only mod, there's a solid group of who chat regularly in a discord, but I am historically the most active (although spicythuder is doing amazing work, if this was a competition they'd be winning rn lol) and do most of the public facing stuff.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 year ago

So how do you expect it to shake out, btw? Do you think if there's enough centaur cock on the sub they'll be forced to let you stay? Are you expecting to get demodded regardless? I'm deeply curious.

The best kind of nerds. 😈

[–] [email protected] 28 points 1 year ago

You’re an absolute legend.

Nerds are the nicest people on this planet.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 year ago

You say that like it's a bad thing. Hehe. :P

For what it's worth, the admins won't actually see that, they disabled responses on those messages. That's why it says "private moderator note", it's a note only the mod team can see

(It's still funny, though)

[–] [email protected] 104 points 1 year ago (4 children)

I just assumed admins can see the private mod notes.

[–] [email protected] 75 points 1 year ago

You shouldn’t make any assumptions that depend on Reddit functioning properly or there being any logic to its disjointed systems lol

[–] [email protected] 23 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Admins can see absolutely everything on the site, I assume

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Technically they have the ability to do anything there, whether they have dedicated tools to make it easy or worth while is likely a different story. Also heavily depends on functionality of the site.

I’m guessing they’ll see it now 😏

[–] [email protected] 34 points 1 year ago

Admins even having the ability to disable replies on DMs is pretty telling.

Why are all those people giving Reddit money by buying awards for that post?

[–] [email protected] 43 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

There’s a significant chunk of power users that have spare Reddit coins from multiple sources, not necessarily bought

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 year ago

Yup that’s me, never spent a cent and when Alien Blue shut down I received coins and some other shit. I didn’t realise for years that I could give awards 😂

[–] [email protected] 42 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I subscribed to Reddit premium before the whole clusterfuck. If you're on Premium you might have a big pool of coins to spend on awards even after you cancel it.

I actually like awards a lot. I think it's an especially reasonable idea as a tip jar for the people running an instance. I'd be happy to give a small recurring contribution to instances I like, and if it gave me the ability to identify things I really like I'd consider that gravy.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 year ago

You could open an issue on Lemmy's GitHub for this feature. It sounds really interesting. The developers should be aware of such features and how many people are interested on them.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 year ago

Reddit gives em out for free. I had a handful but just never used em.

[–] [email protected] 41 points 1 year ago (2 children)

How many legendary resistances does he get?

[–] [email protected] 39 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Probably none. This is like a peasant trying to stand up to Lolth. I admire the lack of shits given in the face of a ban.

Absolute legend either way.

The only content worth following on Reddit is this drama, and this post (being nsfw) can’t be accessed by 3PAs.

Admins dun goof’d. They got rid of the best people on the site.

battle of reddit mods vs. Reddit Inc. ? Hmm 🍿

Make him a mod here on Lemmy.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 year ago

Check the mod list. They are very efficient, I guess.

Aww Reddit keep plummeting that valuation you are doing great!

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 year ago (4 children)

I still didn't get my blackmail on /r/mushing dammit! Got one for making it private. I'm waiting for the NSFW blackmail for two weeks now! What gives?

[–] [email protected] 28 points 1 year ago

It'll come. Just takes a while because the admins are forced to use their own app with crappy moderation tools.
