Hello,

we will be updating pict-rs to the latest version in about 2 hours.

We expect a short downtime of 1-2 minutes during the planned migration window, as there are no major database changes involved.

Most users won't be affected by this, as the majority of our media is cached and served by Cloudflare. This should primarily only affect thumbnail generation and uploads of new media while the service is down.

For hobby projects its rather the other way around sunday deployments are the works fridays deployments ( additionally 4 day instead of 3 days of unavailability

Nice. I'm happy to see LW doing updates. I take it to mean the software is maturing (both Lemmy and pict-rs).

Just going to drop the Liberapay for Lemmy.World here. I'vs butted heads over policy before, but thank you guys for giving us such a stable experience.
