Subreddit r/antiwork has been pretty based recently, however I have seen some takes are genuinely appalling. I saw a thread where someone said he wouldn't want to live in USSR because you were forced to have a job.

This is a big problem I have with that sub. "Anti-work" is not something that should be supported in a socialist society. The point is being adequately compensated for the work and actually contributing to society instead of meaninglessly grinding away to enrich some bourgeois asshole.

Building socialism will require a lot of hard work. I think that sub has done an ok job building some level of "class consciousness" but I fear it's just getting people against the idea of "work" in general. But that's just because these people have no concept of "work" that isn't tied to the exploitative capitalist hellscape they live in.

To be fair, for a sub called antiwork most of what I see posted over there is incredibly pro-labor. There is a lot of "Organize, Unionize, go on strike" energy over there.

It mostly seems to be "antiwork" in the "fuck your boss" sense.
