I have the "I hate feeling wet/oily when I'm supposed to be dry" autism. I also have the "It feels like 10s of itchy razor-blade cuts when my skin is so dry it cracks" autism. This cold front has my skin too dry and cracked. It's about to be worse than air drying after swimming at the beach and then putting on a shirt. I'm running out of meltdown prevention juice. Does anyone have any lotion or other remedies? I'm like 3 tragedies away from meltdown.

I'm super into skincare and have tried many different moisturizers. These are the ones I'm currently using and love them 🩷

Face (though you can use the big tub for body, too):

Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream

Body:

Dermalogica Body Hydrating Cream, Body Lotion with Green Tea and Lemon Oil
La Roche-Posay Lipikar AP+ Triple Repair Moisturizing Cream

I use two different ones on my body, depending on the area.

The creams will sit on your skin until they are absorbed, but they leave skin hydrated for 48-72 hours.

For more lightweight ones (also more affordable) - Face:

CeraVe PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion

Body:

CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion for Dry Skin

I recommend buying the smaller sizes to start so that you can gauge your reactions to them. Good luck!!

Nice! I wish I had that drive for skin care like you do. I tend to wait too long. I've seen CeraVe recommended a lot, so I'm gonna give those a shot along with the Up & Up Target brand. Thank you!

Yes, I use the same face cream as well. It does a really good job of keeping my face feeling right.

I'm in the same boat as you, I can't deal with greasy hands. So in the winter, I put on a good amount of O'Keefs Working Hands right before I go to sleep for the night. The sticky lotion feeling doesn't bother me when I'm falling asleep since I'm not using my hands for anything, and by the morning my hands are a lot less dry and the stickiness is gone.

Working Hands shouldn’t feel sticky or oily. You’re probably putting on too much. A small dollop the size of a pencil eraser is more than enough for both hands.
