Just finished playing a DnD game a couple hours ago where I lived out my wildly unrealistic fantasies of being able afford basic necessities. Truly an incredible game.

this sounds … depressing. What basic necessities are you talking about? Heat? Water? Food? Friends?

A job. Steady income. I'm... not doing great.

Now still has wrong coloring ( but it is only temporary colored in this tool just for me that will change later in the slicer tool) and missing details etc.. Since I am making this as a lamp got my two nieces this will later be the hello Kitty sibling (?) pair and accordingly the ribbon will be moved and the colors adjusted

I'd love to print 3D things like this! Which printer do you recommend?

[-] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago

Can't recommend one as I only have one due to my limited storage space. Prusa MK4+MMU3+ MK4S Upgrade+enclosure and even though I had two small problems I am still very happy. At least I would only use those from the open source scene myself, which would eliminate the need for bambu, for example.

Going over a song that my band should be practicing for the first time. Even though I wrote it, I can barely remember it!

I too just finished a ttrpg game. We're playing Pathfinder 2e, but today was our last session of the campaign. My character and another died during the big boss fight but what the remaining two characters did was so beautiful, so now I'm weepy and sad in a bittersweet way.

Mostly weight training. My favorite store is going out of business, which sucks, but at least I got a lot of protein on closeout so I've had a better bulking session than usual 🥲

Trying to read more too, but it's hard, because most of my downtime is during meals, and I don't like to have food near library books. I think I've only hit something like 80 pages in 7 days.

You could also look for magazines separately If you are interested in Arduino or microcontrollers and projects, for example, there are certainly a few good ones where you can always learn something new. Or another area that interests you. The length of the articles is actually perfect for reading while eating. The price is also not comparable with books so it wouldn't be so bad.

Thanks! I'm mostly interested in fiction right now but the wait for ebooks at my library is long 🥲 I know there are magazines that publish short stories so I'll look into that!

I finished a free book on Apple Books. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

More drawing of my angel character Goodie, but I still barely have an idea for the background. Oh well, most of my backgrounds are a ton of improvising anyway, so I'm sure it'll come together in the end!

Added some global illumination, effects on the crystal and some sloppy saliva!

Looking good

Making lamb curry in the slow cooker! I'm afraid it might be too spicy for me. Probably not too spicy for my husband at least.

Got back into Loop Hero. I just needed to loop some.

researching how to generate art with a computer quickly in text form (pbm) and save it in a better format (webp/png/jpg):

This is what I landed on, using the magick command, my_program outputs to stdout, magick reads from stdin using the -:

my_program | magick - output.webp

https://imagemagick.org/script/formats.php

I plan to use this in further weeks to draw rectangles, circles and other things in different configurations on bitmaps using only integer-based math.

Finished God of War (2018) and now starting Ragnarok.

I was skeptical at first since I played all the OG GoW titles including PSP back in the day, will I like this new Kratos ?

And boy (heh) what a ride. I knew the gameplay would be fun at least combat wise, but I didn't expect having someone to accompany Kratos would be this entertaining.

Though IMO 'evil' Atreus arc feels too short, he just saw his bad deed once and somehow because Brokk and Sindri made up he is also good now.

Overall it's a blast and I can't wait to see what they'd do in Ragnarok.

Finished rewiring and replacing the control board on my Robo R1+ (the first 3d printer i ever bought). It started powering off in the middle of print jobs a few years ago. So instead of replacing the stock board i bought an skr pro 1.2 control board.

The parts have been sitting there for a while but finally spent some time on it this week. Flashed the reprap 6.5 firmware and wired up the tft-3.5 v3 control panel. Just need to finish the tuning and configuration, then it should be printing better than new.

I have another fdm printer(creality ender 3 mqx) and a resin printer(elegoo mars 2). So this was just my 'f around and find out' project printer.
