Its "reconquest" of the EU will be under the banner of "Make Europe Great Again," and its leaders say Donald Trump’s recent return to the White House signals it is time for Europe to change. “We are living in an historic age, and my message to all the old leaders from Macron to Scholz, to your own Pedro Sanchez: It's your time. It's over now. They are history,” Geert Wilders, leader of the PVV party in The Netherlands told an audience of around 2,000 people on Saturday.

Evil wins because allegedly good people hesitate. Because allegedly good people promote moderation and calmness in dealing with those who have broken the social contract.

We lost ourselves as a civilization developing the understanding that rationality against those who are determined it are their own kind of slow evil.

Alas, Babylon! The empire has fallen. Do not go further to pretend you are any different, aunts and uncles, siblings and cousins of the new world. Take action now, decisive, forceful action. Do not continue to hesitate Europe.

You know, about a year ago or so, I mentioned that I thought the single greatest mistake humanity has ever made was in not killing every single nazi at the end of ww2

It did not go over well at the time.

Looking like maybe we need to finish that job now.

The idea that anideology is purely inherited is utter nonsense. Killing all the Nazis at the end of the war would not prevent people being Nazis now. It would instead mean a lot of innocent German people would not now exist as their families would have been murdered for doing what it took to survive in Nazi Germany - I.e. joining the party.

Never said the ideology was inherited.

I said it was a mistake not to kill them all.

It sets a precedent, draws a line that says very clearly that if you cross it, you're dead.

Whether or not that changes people being hate filled jackasses is a separate issue. But they'd know what's coming, and so would anyone else.

Fascism is everywhere and I tie it all to the brazenness of the first Trump admin. Fascists the world over saw what he could get away with and got juiced.

The rise of the far right is a huge challenege for the EU. Viktor Orban has shown how weak EU institutions are at tackling dictators and despots within the EU itself.

The PfE says it is founded on national sovereignty

It consist of Marine Le Pen’s Rassemblement National (France), Viktor Orbán’s Fidesz (Hungary), Matteo Salvini’s Lega (Italy), Geert Wilders(The Netherlands), and Andrej Babiš (Czechia), among other parties

I love that all the different right wing parties got together to push for nationalism, it's almost like they did not notice that there are benefits to being together while being together ^^
