Swipe anywhere to go back would be a nice added feature.

That's on Github!
Hi!
Let me please add to the thanks and kudos for all your efforts developing a truly excellent app!
Two new features I didnβt see elsewhere (my apologies if they were already mentioned or are otherwise off base):
- ability to search the comments of a post youβre viewing (like βfind in pageβ on a web browser)
- ability to view the relevant portion of the mod log by clicking on a comment that has been moderated (e.g., deleted)
Thanks again!
For 1, I did some feasibility work on this, shouldn't be that bad but there is a safari bug I have to work around. I could implement android only though for now.
Better mod tools are planned
Amazing! Thank you so much for your consideration and reply!!
When you maximise an image without going into the thread itself (I.e. tapping the image displayed in the feed), if you press the back button, it exits to your instance list
Would prefer if it only exited out of the maximised image
It shouldn't do that. Are you using the latest version? And PWA or native app?
Okay thats my b
Thanks for the reply <3
Please, PLEASE adjust the UI to prevent accidental touches. On far too many occasions I mis-tap and end up going to the community instead of the post. Or the User's profile instead of collapsing the comment. Drives me nuts! Those links are already in a separate menu; no need for the redundancy. Tapping anywhere on a post should only ever go to the post. Tapping anywhere on a comment should only ever collapse the comment.
Take a page out of Relay for Reddit, where you swipe to the left on a post or comment to bring up a submenu, and that's where your options to upvote/downvote, reply, view the community/user profile, etc. are. (i.e. Remove the 3 dots and put all those options in such a swipeable menu.) The current swipe gestures should be turned into a "slow swipe" gesture so that people still have the option to set their favorite shortcuts to them.
Please, I'm begging you to implement this.
If I accidentally swipe open the communities when browsing my feed, I should be able to swipe out of it back to my feed. Another option would be to have an option to disable swipe to open communities picker.
I try to use Voyager every few months, but keep going back to Sync because:
- I want more control over the appearance of my feed, comments, and replies. For the feed, Sync provides:
- The Back stack on Android seems weird. I don't use a lot of apps with bottom nav bars, but I think they should maintain an entry in the back stack for each category. Voyager seems to keep every instance that I've visited as a separate entry.
A lot of people like Voyager, so you're clearly doing a great job. Keep it up!
Iβd love to see a floating action button like Thunder has with configurable shortcuts. I love this feature for quick navigation, dismiss all read (not fully hide since a refresh can bring those posts back), etc.
The ability to do sidebar editing would be lit!
Keep up with the great work!
Lately I've been getting more issues with images failing to load. Virtually every image from feddit.org had issue some days, but today I see random posts from mander.xyz and lemmy.world too. I tested it on another app and they load there. I can also open the lost in a browser to see the image.
Other than that the app is really nice, although I hate accidentally backspacing one time too many and restarting my scrolling from the very top of "all" π
Did you test another app with exact same instance and login?
Yeah, here's a screenshot using the sync app and another using voyager. Both signed in to [email protected]. I noticed it happening to a load of feddit.org posts, and now I notice this was also a crosspost to master.xyz from there
Perhaps some work on a sidebar for navigation for tablets or desktop?
I know Apollo never had that, but when Iβm on my iPad I tend to use Arctic simply because it uses the real estate better. But I use Voyager on my phone.
Love the app!
Going beyond Apollo, have you ever thought of adapting Voyager to work on Apple TV? Not sure how many this would interest but thereβs a lack of Lemmy tv clients.
I used a separate app that would notify me about Reddit posts in selected subreddits if they hit a upvoted or comment threshold. Could be a separate app or built into Voyager. Also helps you keep up with smaller communities if they get drowned out in the main feed.
Show my alias (This is fine π₯πΆβπ₯) instead of username (TheBat).
Sometimes I can't scroll voyager when using iPhone mirroring with iOS 18/macOS 15. I haven't been able to pin down what causes it to occur though unfortunately.
Weird!!
