Fennec is a great project but it doesn't have as many privacy-oriented changes as Mull had. For a true successor, I'd recommend the Mull fork IronFox. You can use this gitlab link to download via Obtanium!

They have an f-droid repository, so if you already have f-droid but not Obtainium you can download via that.

You can harden it fairly easily. Just enable Resist fingerprinting, set security settings to strict and install ublock.

Or, get IronFox, the current fork of Mull.

I imagine they just want to recommend something already on F-Droid, and, I also imagine the IronFox people will start releasing on F-Droid directly soon vs having a added repo. But, adding the repo is not hard.

Droidify is a client of F-Droid, I wouldn't say either is better, it's preference.
