Hi. As far as I can tell, none of my posts or comments from here are reaching kbin.social. I first noticed this about 3 days ago, trying to post comments to [email protected] from here.

What's strange is that lemm.ee and lemmy.world seem to be federating perfectly fine, as do lemmy.world and kbin.social. This post I just made from lemmy.world is visible on both lemm.ee and kbin.social, but this post I made from lemm.ee yesterday only shows up on lemmy.world, not kbin.social. Both lemmy.world and lemm.ee are on version 0.18.1 right now, so I doubt it's related to the 0.18.0 Kbin-Lemmy federation issues. I'm also assuming the two instances are not intentionally defederated.

I can provide more details if needed. For now, I'm considering making an account on kbin.social to manually bring over some of the affected posts/comments. Either that, or reposting the content through my lemmy.world account.

Edit: made a kbin.social account. Seems like lemm.ee can view kbin.social comments, just not the other way around. As nice as the threadiverse is, it seems like there are still quite a few technical headaches to deal with at this point in time...

Hey, I am trying to get in touch with anybody from kbin side to debug this.

I have not seen any errors regarding kbin.social from lemm.ee logs.

If anybody from kbin.social happens to see this message and wants to debug this together, please reach out to me at @sunaurus:matrix.org.

I'm also on lemm.ee and stopped getting all kbin content for a while. Now it seems to be working so I think there's generally intermittent problems with federation between kbin and Lemmy. Could be specific to this instance, but I don't think that's the case. They're two different platforms so there's not really any official development coordination between them.

I have found a potential cause of issues, the fix was deployed ~30 minutes ago. Please let me know if you're seeing any improvement!
