26C here, I recently moved to the mountains and nothing could make me move back.

The city I moved from is like 38 right now. Just to add to that, most of my country just increased electric bill costs by 50-75% at the beginning of the summer. (Thanks Russia sanctions)

Thanks Putin, large corps that have been making huge profits while stealing our future, and incompetent/ corrupt governments that have allowed it to happen.*

Putin was happy to keep selling natural gas until Russia was blocked out of the Swift system and the US blew up nordstream

Isn't Russia still seing gas to Europa? Over different pipelines I mean. I remember hearing about some exceptions to the sanctions for eastern European countries.

They're selling gas through other countries, like China and Turkey who buy Russian LNG and resell it to Europe, but the US took up most of the void left by the attack on Nord Stream.

ice packs against an artery help, too. the neck, the crease between the groin and thighs, under the armpits, and under the knee, are all perfect spots. just make sure you do it over clothes or have a rag wrapped around it.

I'm at 40c where I'm at x.x

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Damn! 40C! that’s probably the hottest it’s ever been where I live and that was years and years ago, not looking forward to that inevitably happening again and again

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Same, going to reach 43 this week

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

How can you even survive that?!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Having a fan on 24/7 and being shirtless in my room when gaming xD

it hit 100°F (38°C) in Mid/Northern Appalachia today. for those unfamiliar, it's the large mountain range in the eastern US. it gets humid often, but never the sweltering heat like this. the shade from the mountains and the forests outside the cities usually keep things cool. the plants are withered, people's gardens are shriveled in the sun. the leaves on the trees in my home have turned red. a lot of people, myself included, can't afford constant air conditioning, and most homes have poor insulation. people here are absolutely going to die from the heat. it's not an exaggeration.
