Publishing a roadmap for bugfixing a released dlc was not on my bingo card

That's the thing--it's more than bug fixing. They're reworking a large amount of the content. I'll probably pick it back up in a few months and see how it's coming.

It feels like the dlc wasn't playtested at all, at least not on monsoon

As with most games now, the players are the playtesters.

Gearbox is just going to keep milking RoR, it's a real shame Hopoo sold it.

I haven't tried it on monsoon, so I can't say. It's possible--testing is the thing that bigger companies seem to like to cut corners on to save money and get things out faster, so it's entirely possible. But at least it sounds like they're taking the feedback to heart, so it could still end up pretty good with some rework.

I have a strong abiding loathing for Gearbox's CEO, Randy Pritchford, but the team they have behind RoR2 now seem to really want to do a good job. They've been very up front, in a way I only sometimes see with small indie devs, about the process of fixing core game parts they managed to break when they released the core game patch that coincided with this DLC.

I'm still waiting a good long while before I touch RoR2 again, but I feel like it will be fixed eventually. Can't say that for all of my games.

Just get rid of Pitchford.
