piracy doesn’t mean you never buy anything, ever. i a ton of people get downvoted or criticized for saying they spent $4.99 on a movie that’s their fav ever or subscribed to hulu for 99 cents, here, when it’s usually completely relevant to the convo. like, it’s ridiculous. i pirate almost everything too, but there’s absolutely stuff you want to support or own every now and then, and that’s totally fine. why can’t that be discussed freely here without getting dogpiled?

the irony of it all? i’m paying for gigabit internet and some usenet services so i can pirate 70GB movies in a couple of minutes, all day and night, and i know a lot of others do the same. why can’t we just acknowledge that piracy and occasionally supporting creators/companies are not mutually exclusive? 🏴‍☠️
