For Lemmy posts I don't mind so much, but I hope this doesn't become the norm for comments. Mastodon and Lemmy offer pretty different styles of social media conversation, and I could see things getting messy for users if they bleed into each other too much. Maybe it's just a UX issue that needs to be solved.

Discussion about the aussie.zone instance itself
Yep, it's a mess between the 2. I tried for a while but it's easier to have separate accounts.
Exposing each platform is important in the interim though.
So this is why I saw the gaming instance on Beehaw on Mastodon. I don't mind this so much, but I also use my Mastodon as my "professional" account. Luckily my name on Lemmy and Mastodon are different but still.
Huh, thought the connection to Mastodon only worked on kbin's microblogs. TIL.
That is interesting. I actually wondered/ wanted hashtags to be common on lemmy like mastodon and have the ability to follow /block hashtags in lemmy.
AJ's tags are hyperlinked. If we just type a hashtag in here, does it appear elsewhere? On Mastodon, you usually select the autocompleted hashtag as you write it, it doesn't work like that here.
