So, I'm new to the Fediverse as it seems that Reddit is a sinking ship. I've been trying to figure out how to customize my feed so I only see content from the Magazines that I subscribe. Like how you can customize your feed on Reddit to only show posts from subreddits that you were in.

Is there a way to do that here? Also, my apologies if I'm posting in the wrong place or using the wrong function... I'm really new. :(

Glad you were able to find it :) I think one thing they could add for kbin is the ability to list like in a panel like reddit, the magazines you subscribed too so you can navigate to them more easily. Right now I have to search for the magazine I wanna go to each time.

Also at first I did the aame as you and selected to only show my subscribed for my feed, but later I realized since it’s still small, there’s not enough content yet, so now I just use the default All for my feed to get new stuff like every 30 min or so

As of now you can access it through your profile or via https://kbin.social/u/(yourusername)/subscriptions but a quick access menu would be nice

Clock the three line menu up top then click subscribed. It will show any magazines you subscribed to

It's strange that the filter is there, in that icon, and not where you'd expect to find it - under the icon that looks like a funnel, just above the start of the feed itself.

Before doing this go to Magazines and subscribe to what appeals to you. Magazine = subreddit

@GizmoLion

Yup! I've done this already. So, I'm just trying to figure out how to customize the feed so I can get a flow of content that I want to see.

as @Shortcake said. the menu icon next to your username, select subscribed from there, and you will see content from your subscribed magazines. you can also go into your profile and set the main page to default to subscribed, so whenever you come to kbin, you will end up on https://kbin.social/sub

Also, if you click on KBin and click on the clog wheel, you can customize it to actually look like Reddit.

Just clicked on the top nav bar, and that will give you access to all, or to the things that you’ve subscribed to. It’s kind of the equivalent to switching from home and popular in Reddit.
