These have been in use for years. They are washed with towels in washing bags. For heavy makeup one might consider a darker towel.

I use old T-shirts and turn them into makeup removers!

That’s really clever. I’ve been cutting wipe cloths for oil and grease spills from old kitchen towels, but they aren’t as pretty. Inspiring.
