Sometimes we do. A single race may be a people, while many races are different peoples. In this case I can see them meaning different outputs from different journalists, or maybe they mean each single article is an output.

Candy that smells like the house I grew up in specifically. Totally possible, but guaranteed not to exist. (Especially because there would almost certainly be no market for it, even including me)

I find it effective for 'feedback' (bug reports/feature requests) sometimes because it can automatically screenshot parts of the app that wouldn't typically have a UI to send feedback on it, for example a menu, where a feedback option listed in the menu would always capture what's behind the menu instead.

Of course it would be even easier if I could just upload screenshots I manually took myself, but Google hates that idea apparently.

The one shown is for moderately rich people. He has a trump card.

The lyrical reply is better, but for a straight answer, Wikipedia says:

"e621 is a furry-themed booru-style imageboard and art archive website launched on February 10, 2007. It is primarily known for hosting pornographic furry content."

More useful than a Rock Detector, which would just never stop.

Sounds about right. I'm guessing somewhat inspired by "Lena" by qntm? If not then you might enjoy that one also.

Ever since abandoning ship I've maintained a negative (1 star) review every time there is an update for the app. My review contained no swearing or anything else that I think would break a rule.

This morning I went to update and found my review gone, and trying to submit a new one fails with a "Server error". I was able to review other apps.

The app in the screenshot is URLCheck, it is my "default browser" and allows me to see where a link is going and edit it or choose what to open it in.

It's showing that the ! link I tapped on the bottom of the screen got an "https:/" (one slash) put in front of it instead of being treated as a proper link to a community.

The same thing happens with @ links:

A screenshot showing that a user-link from a post summary ended up with part of a protocol prepended to it

Note: this is a true story, it happened a couple hours ago.

We were at the skating rink. "Low" by Flo Rida was playing. Suddenly a little kid spun out in front of us. Fortunately she wasn't hurt when she hit the floor (she hit the floor), next thing we knew Shawty got low, low, low, low, low, low, low, low.

She was fine and got up on her own. Kids are rubber.

The links inside the linked post are relative links, such as xkcd which is a link to /c/xkcd@lemmy.world

Boost does not open them when tapped, flashing an error instead.

There are unfortunately some subreddits which are still the best place to find timely info about certain topics - for example video game subs run by the developers of the game. Lemmit is a way to subscribe to those while not giving Reddit any more "engagement" or ad views.

The bot that runs Lemmit only posts on its own instance, so users like me only see it when we subscribe explicitly (or the All view I guess, but that's a mixed bag already. Edit: and each user could choose to ban it if they want)
