Haptic feedback FTW! 😁
Hey, kbin is dead, maybe mbin? Also, there is no easy way to move between feeds for now (that I know of). So maybe a swipe or something like it, would be nice to have
For subscribed/bookmarked feeds, you can swipe right to open your list of feeds and then tap on any of them to switch. However this option only exists for feeds that are subscribed or bookmarked. Does this option work well for you? If not could you please provide some more context on your use case/how you usually use the app? This would help me think of solutions for it. Thank you!
Oh, I think I wasn't clear. I meant the "all/local/subscribed" feeds
Oh actually the app doesn't treat these feeds as anything special. You can bookmark them as you'd like and they will appear in the left pane. This is done on purpose so users can bookmark what they like to use so it's easier to access for them while still giving all users the choice to also not bookmark them if they don't use them.
For instance:
How do I bookmark it? 😅
Open the feed you want to bookmark. Then tap the 3 dots button to open the menu and tap bookmark.
Thanks
Support kbin?
I just want to note that Kbin is abandoned, it has been forked into Mbin more than a year ago (And Mbin is still actively developed to this day), as a Mbin user I would love more apps to support it, because right now there's only one app, so the choice is very limited. (And I think Summit looks very cool)

Thank you for your feedback. The stretch features were picked a long time ago. I can update it to Mbin however given how much work there is still planned for the app I'm not sure when this would get done.
A setting to reverse gesture colors for votes? You can do that with displayed vote colors already but not for gestures. I couldn't quite get the gesture colors right so I left them at default and I have opposite colors for gestures and votes. It's not bothersome though and I got used to it quickly. Just thought it would be a good QoL feature to have the colors consistent.
I'm not sure if you prefer to take feature requests/suggestions over lemmy or github. What's your preference?
I prefer taking requests here as I monitor Lemmy more frequently. To make sure I understand correctly, you want the gesture colors to use the same colors as the votes. Eg. if you set upvote to the red color, you'd also want the upvote gesture to also be red? I think this feature is extremely specific. I think maybe what might be a better solution is to allow you to (1) see the exact hex code in the color picker, (2) allow you to copy the hex code and (3) allow you to enter a hex code for a color. This way you can specify colors accurately and it's not too much work either.
I don't really want the gesture colors to reflect vote colors regardless of what I set it too. It's just that with vote colors you have an option to swap colors for them and I'm requesting the ability to swap colors of gesture colors for voting as well.
Your suggestion would be much more flexible/powerful and comfortable to use though as it's hard to get the wanted color correctly and repeat it as well. But what comes with it I assume there's more work for it?
I hope I'm clear now. :)
(Yesterday I converted someone into using this app and they love it a lot. Today I changed the text size for posts by accident when looking through the settings for something and it applied on the spot. I think it would be great to apply settings only when pressing "save settings" button or a way to revert settings to the previous ones you had maybe. The button sounds simpler. I was lucky to have a backup from sharing the settings with that person though.)
It's a bit more work but i think its the more sustainable and all encompassing solution so i think its worth it. Eg. Someone tomorrow can ask to be able to set the exact color because they want to match a theme and i might have to do thid anyways.
As for the save setting suggestion, ive gone back and forth on this topic before. I dont think there is a good answer here as i see both as valid. I think its probably more worthwhile to see if theres a way to prevent accidental changes to font size.
Wish you luck. I wish I could donate but I'm broke. lol
I'm promoting the app every chance I have though.
Can we also have live results in search? (Search while typing automatically)
I think I will veto this one unless there is a good reason for this feature. A lot of the search bars (eg. community search) already does this. It's only the "Search all" function that doesn't do this. When you expand the search bar, you can't see much until you close it anyways so it feels like it wouldn't improve the search experience much at the cost of a lot more network calls.
Okay, no problem

Hi, can I ask you what was done to tackle this request?
Support opening instance links in-app. Eg. https://ttrpg.network/
I just noticed that it's marked as "complete", but if I click on the same link provided in the example, I'm still asked to open the link in the external browser. Is it an option somewhere that I need to toggle on?
The fix for this was a compromise. I initially tried treating all links as possible Lemmy links but it caused a large delay when opening any link. Instead the compromise is to check if the link is a Lemmy link in the link preview dialog. If the link is detected to be a lemmy link an option appears to open the link within the app.
Ooh, I feel dumb. I was tapping "Open link", didn't notice that the "tap to open in app" was itself tappable.
Thank you a bunch!
I admit the UI itself can be improved. I'll leave myself a note to take a look for a future release.
Sometimes it's not clear when a picture is present in comments. Do you think we can have an outline on images?
I'm not sure I understand the request. If you are reading the comments, don't you see the image as you are reading? Are you speed scrolling through the comments in search of images? What is the use case here?
Sorry I wasn't clear. I just find myself sometimes, being confused with where the image ends and the text starts. Sometimes I don't notice them that fast. Etc. I'll provide a screenshot if I can find a good example
