What they seem to have in common is:

  • Way more posts than comments.
  • Almost exclusively posting news articles.
  • The vast majority of the articles are critical of Russia or China.
  • Virtually always posting to the same few communities. Often there’s overlap in the communities the accounts target.
  • Consistent weekly output.

FYI, @haui@lemmygrad.ml, you had this to say back in June on !europe@lemmy.dbzer0.com, before the post was removed by a mod:

OP is one of their propagandists from the looks of it. Please look at the post history and report if you see a pattern.

Thanks! If you have a moment and don’t mind, please subscribe to the comm so it propagates to hexbear. I don’t think anyone there has a subscription.

Now i feel a little bit famous. :) i had to turn off my old instance as it was being tormented by bots day and night (i wonder why!/s) and an update didnt work well. By then i had already joined grad and figured why bother.

Looking back at these posts, mainstream lemmy is pretty likely a fed op and needs to be purged. I'll stay on grad and have my occasional outside stroll, sometimes productive, sometimes not.

For more updates on me, i also have mastodon.

PS.: oh and of course i was right back then. China and Russia are doing a pretty good job fighting the evil empire. Who does not see that after irak, iran, afghanistan, cuba, korea, japan (use of nuclear weapons, not fighting them), venezuela, gaza and many more is a bot or braindead.

Comrade really dropped the purge list.

I don’t have high hopes that it will change anything, but we’ll see. Through trial and error over the years, they’ve found several communities on liberal imperial core instances willing to host them. At the moment some of them seem to be:

!europe@lemmy.dbzer0.com is another one, which is disappointing given that it’s ostensibly an anarchist instance. The active mods are sunshine & Grainne, which I think explains it.

I’m not surprised to see a “human rights” community on the list. Citations Needed podcast: The Human Rights Concern Troll Industrial Complex

This is why I respect cm0002 which at least puts some effort into his Liberalism

I've noticed a few of these accounts yelling about wsws.org being "Chinese propaganda".

Search pages for some of those accounts:

Now, WSWS is blatantly sectarian garbage and universally disliked (go to their homepage and Ctrl+F "pseudo-left") and the SEP are actively counterproductive, there are a million reasons to critisize WSWS, but they are certainly not pro-China.

Just ask their horrible AI chatbot: https://ai.wsws.org/en/threads/2242e654-e2eb-4a35-9952-2df9476dacc7

Introduction of that chat. Spoiler alert: they don't consider it to be a socialist party at all.

The WSWS/SEP position on the Communist Party of China (CCP)

The World Socialist Web Site (WSWS) and the Socialist Equality Party (SEP) treat the CCP not as a socialist or workers’ party but as a Stalinist, bureaucratic ruling apparatus that defends capitalist property relations and national capitalism. The CCP is analysed as a party of a privileged bureaucratic caste—rooted in the political foundations of “socialism in one country”—that has long ago abandoned the internationalist program of the 1917 Revolution and placed itself firmly on the road of capitalist restoration and class rule.

It's common to hear people talk about propaganda from users who post a lot about politics, but this is what actual antisocial propaganda accounts look like. They stick out like a sore thumb on more communal/hobby instances and quiet communities.

Keep an eye out for think-tank websites. Some in particular post war-hawk propaganda.
