Really? I've been blocking porn communities constantly since my app had the option a few days ago.

I've blocked at least 7 in just the last 12 hours.

I'm surprised you haven't came across all the ai generated porn subs while browsing /all/

I just checked my filters and I've blocked 50 porn communities within the last 5 days.

    Do you have NSFW posts hidden as default? That can hide every porn post.

    I use the voyager( WefWef) app and it's pretty great.

    Lol I actually just blocked another 10 porn subs since I last commented here. Found so many by just scrolling on /all/

    Interesting - I just checked my settings in connect - I have nsfw set to blur, and I joined lemmy.world instance, and I still don't see any porn... I mean I'm not mad about it, I just wonder how we can have such a different experience. It's interesting 🤔

    Do you think it is because of your instance? I haven't seen any porn at all and I am thankful for that. I am guessing no one in world ever went to a porn community or it is because I usually look in all + active or local + active.

    Pretty sure both blahaj and your server on .world allows porn & that one main porn server. I'll try finding my password for my .world account, I'll check out to see if there is any difference.

    Please do it will be interesting if there are, but even more interesting if there isn't any. Because then I don't know why I don't see any. I actually thought everything was on dedicated porn instance or blocked but I couldn't see any instances that screamed I am a porn instance in the block list.     I saw I was still signed in on the liftoff app on my lemmy.world account.

    I scrolled through the /all/ feed and did not see a single nsfw post lol. I even tried scrolling through /new/ and still saw nothing.

    I didn't even see any post that wasn't porn but marked nsfw. Every post was safe for work. My profile says nsfw is allowed.

    I don't know why the porn is hidden for people lol. It's really weird this is an issue. I at least now understand why people were thinking there was no porn at all here 😆

    One more final update because the issue is funny to me lol.

    I added my .world account to the voyager app and I began to see porn posts. I don't know why they are hidden from view in the other apps.

    Situation is weird lol.

    Haha this is weird because I also use voyager and haven't seen any. Can you have multiple instances in one feed? I didn't see if it was possible. But now you know how you can "hide" all of the NSFW posts 😂

    That shouldn't happen. The issue is more that the nsfw flair is used for a ton of things besides just porn. Same issue that Reddit has.

    They just need to make a separate tag for porn here. Otherwise you'll miss out on posts that aren't porn but flaired NSFW for any other reason.

    The web interface and at least Voyager on mobile all have the option to block NSFW posts. So if you’re getting them in your All feed, you have unchecked that option (it was default on Lemmy.world, not sure about other servers)
