With the recent NYT scandal, what are some other examples of the NYT or similarly "prestigious" news institutions making stuff up or otherwise doing propaganda? (hexbear.net)

Been seeing a lot of libs say they can't trust the NYT and mainstream news any more but I'm sure there's plenty of reasons to not trust them already. Recent or historical examples

Oh, that reminds me, didn't NYTimes platform like a US Ambassador's kid to shit talk venezuela when all that was going down around 2016/2017?
