It still doesn't make it less inconvenient. I use my earphones for my laptop for work and my phone when I'm commuting so I have to attach the dongle, plug it into my phone, get to work, unplug the dongle plug it in the laptop and do the whole process again when I go home and repeat every day. It's a pain.
