New platforms need time to naturally grow. If the user experience isn't good, then moving too many people too early will be bad in the long run. Regardless, Reddit will continue to exist in some form for the forseeable future. It's not going to collapse in a matter of days. It might not ever collapse. If places like Newgrounds, 4chan, 9gag, funnyjunk, etc. are still going then Reddit will keep chugging along for now. We have been depending on corporations and their proprietary platforms for way too long. We also need to leave YouTube and other centralized platforms.
