Well, me and my family was in a car crash today. We are fine, nobody got seriously hurt, no broken bones, nothing thank god. We didnt pass out or anything, but my Apple watch instantly detected the crash and wanted to call 112 (emergency services) but we didnt need it. If we wouldve had a worse crash i think it would have saved my and my familys life today. This is why its worth the couple extra bucks for the apple tbh.

The crash/fall detection has never worked for me. I do have it turned on, but the two times I think it should have gone off it didn’t.

Two false alarms for me.

One truly a possible emergency: I hit one of those things…

While riding on my bicycle…

You know a um…

A Range Rover !

I was a bit banged up, busted my helmet up pretty bad, but did not need the ambulance. But would have called for me automatically had I not tapped it as I was OK.
Thankful to be wearing it.

Both times it didn’t go off I was on my bicycle. I really thought it should have.

Once, one of my pedals striped out of the crank, as I was out of the saddle hammering. When I lost the pedal on a downstroke, I basically threw myself into the pavement. Apple Watch didn’t go off.

The second time, I collided with another cyclist, as I was avoiding a pedestrian.

Yeah, it should have alerted for you both times. Mine is a Series 5, and my bike accident was 2 years ago.

It doesn’t work for bad driving.
