Ethernet or coaxial across high foot traffic floor (alien.top)

I want to run a cable across my living room floor but am unsure if a coaxial or flat ethernet cable would be best for being stepped on. I would be using a rubber cable protector.

I'd go for Ethernet.
it matters more what's on the other end if you have a properly secured protector.
can you run it around the edge of the room to avoid getting stepped on entirely? Even the the protector it's still gonna be at least a mild trip hazard.
