[–] havokdj@lemmy.world 1 point 2 years ago (1 child) I was referring specifically to the drivers license which is used in place of the standard ID. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] zaph@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 years ago* (1 child) Sure but the license isn't to purchase those products. There is no licensing for them even though you typically use your license to prove your age. You can also use a passport or military ID or a standard state ID that looks exactly like a license but requires no test. A liquor license is to sell, not purchase. And for the record, I like your ideas but using something like a medical card for purchasing weed would have been a better example. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] havokdj@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago (1 child) I agree with the medical card as well, but I wouldn't have any issues with it being done recreationally, I just think that if it is done recreationally it should still have a license associated with it. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] zaph@sh.itjust.works 1 point 2 years ago Indubitably. permalink fedilink source parent
