MODERATORS

cross-posted from: https://lemmy.studio/post/188937

I appointed myself as a moderator of my community [email protected] and it shows on the page on Mander but not on lemmy.studio, and I am not able to moderate the community from my lemmy.studio account.

I don't have an account on lemmy.studio, so I'm not able to run troubleshooting tests there myself.

I did do a test appointing my account from lemmy.ml as a mod to the test community, and that action federated immediately.

I've tried un-modding and re-modding your lemmy.studio account myself, but that also did not work.

I don't think that having the same username is the problem because otherwise it would be a problem in both instances.... But there could be a unique constraint. I will mod myself for a moment to test if my account shows the same problem.

I have appointed 'test' as a mod, and even this change is not federated to lemmy.studio.

It does appear to federate to lemmy.ml, though: https://lemmy.ml/c/[email protected]

So it appears to me like there is some federation issue with how they are fetching/receiving this information, but I don't know what it could be or what else to test.

(Feel free to remove the test moderator, or I can also remove it later)

When I initially created the community, it also took a while (I think a day or two) to become available over at lemmy.studio, so this might also just take a little while for it to work.

Great! I removed the test mod and the change was immediately reflected
