Other theories:

  1. Their IT guys spent a lot of time setting up their instance and aren't willing to give it up
  2. Their IT guys found something interesting to do for once, and aren't willing to give it up
  3. Control and not depending on zucc for your engagement

I was half joking but honestly it's an experimental project, and they're doing the brunt of the work.
