They just seem to be automated posts from reddit, with no comments.

I never actually read them because I kind of boycotting Reddit and can't really interact with them anyway, so they just clog up my feed.

Does anyone else find them annoying?

I've blocked pretty much all those communities. I'd recommend you do the same.

There are people who find those posts useful and/or comforting, more power to them. I'm squarely in your camp though.

I think I'll be doing that, but it would be nice to block a whole instance at a user level.

They're all posted by a single bot account. Block the bot and you see none of the posts
