Some specific ad categories can still be limited, but there's no more opt-out option.

Lemmy doesn't have that capacity yet as far as I know. It's one of the main reasons I recommend the former - Kbin bridges the gap between Mastodon and Lemmy, and includes functionality from both types of instances.
