For example his hassan retelling does a good job of preserving the fariy tale quality, something that even good writers fail at, for example firebird by lackey fails at this. Anthony also has some creative ideas. Like the society of telepatic horses that enslave humans. But they borrow the intelligence of their human hosts, otherwise they are just as smart as a horse.
