It was too big, too many characters and no way to get some characters the exposure needed. Also, the big bad had way to high an impact into the world. Sad, really, it might have worked as a mini series with like 6 to 8 episodes.

I liked it, not the the best marvel movie but entertaining.

    Who was the big bad?
I've always thought it was the one Marvel movie that didn't have one?

I thought it was Arishem, the celestial. He basically wanted to break earth to birth the other celestial, stakes were way to high

I always thought just that was just their life cycle.
It's not malicious, nefarious, or vengeful.

That's the circle of life on a universal scale. One world of intelligent life is lost for the creation of dozens more.

I just saw everyone as doing what they do, serving their role. Nothing good or bad, just what is. Until the Eternals decided to act against their function.

Fair, but that set the stakes for the established world too high. It basically said that all the work done by the avengers is irrelevant. I would have the celestial emerge on the moon or something (you could have used the explanation that a meteor hit young earth and the celestial "egg" got ejected, orbiting its planet to be close to the souls or whatever)
