Was banned over a year ago. I still cannot make a new account with getting flagged within a week even if I only stick to commenting on niche game subs. I know cause I just tried again a month or two ago to try and post some questions on the sub for Nivalis Nights when that came out. Reddit sitewide bans are for life and they do not delete the telemetry metrics they kept on you.

If I wanted a new reddit account, I'd have to use a different device on a different network to both create a new email and the new account itself to avoid the telemetry metrics that reddit logs and make sure to never log into that account from any device or network that was used with the banned account or else it gets flagged.
