I avoid gummies entirely because they're usually not individually labeled. If the recipient eats halal/kosher/vegetarian, then they'll throw out ambiguous candy.

No? Your religious restrictions aren't my problem. This one isn't allowed to eat pig so we stop giving out candy with gelatine, next one isn't allowed to take candy from a women so we have the men hold the plate, next one isn't allowed to see a women who isn't family so we banish our women to the kitchen. Just because the one does look more reasonable to you then the others doesn't mean the one isn't already ridiculous.
