When I was a kid I wanted to be a CEO of a tech company. (Which was turbo cringe.)

Now I'd like to have a boring job and be someone's mom/aunt.

For a couple years, my childhood life goal of being a prominent scientist was fading as I underachieved academically, and I didn't come to terms with it until I fully embraced my new radical (and poorer) self as part of an anarchist collective.

But there was another turnaround point, where I started to realize how dumb most capitalist bosses are. Now I want to start housing land trusts and get workers' co-ops off the ground, and go on a bunch of commune-building adventures.

If anything, the plot has gotten less mundane.
