When I was a kid I wanted to be a CEO of a tech company. (Which was turbo cringe.)

Now I'd like to have a boring job and be someone's mom/aunt.

No, in my youth I really wanted a 9 to 5 factory job for a life of peaceful consumption. Instead my young adulthood consisted of surviving a series of exploitative room-and-board situations in remote areas at the mercy of some real characters, until I got on disability. Now I'm a late-blooming artist who can't stop thinking of revolution. I can't have what I was led to believe was a normal life no matter what.
